Known for his sculptural silhouettes, couture craftsmanship and emotionally charged aesthetic, Otsamo has built a distinctive voice in Nordic fashion through his atelier work, dressing artists and celebrities and developing a visual language that combines strength, sensitivity and timeless elegance.
Rooted in Northern Finland and inspired by art, architecture, music and human emotion, Otsamo’s work balances dramatic expression with refined simplicity. His design philosophy is built around creating pieces that feel powerful yet effortless to wear, garments and objects that carry both visual impact and emotional meaning.
Read between the lines
The first ready-to-wear collection under the OTSAMO brand
Titled Read Between the Lines, the collection explores the idea of a timeless wardrobe shaped by versatility, individuality and freedom of expression. The collection reflects everything Otsamo has learned through years of atelier craftsmanship. Inclusivity and wearability are central to the collection, with silhouettes designed to suit different bodies and identities.
“The collection explores the relationship between clothing, identity and perception. The title reflects the idea that people rarely exist within a single definition of social norms. Identity shifts through environment, emotion, experience and the different roles individuals move through in everyday life.”

The Cosmic Egg
The sculptural Cosmig Egg bag represents new beginnings, transformation and creative rebirth. Its seamless egg-shaped silhouette embodies the idea of potential waiting to emerge, a form that feels simultaneously minimal, organic and emotionally powerful. For Otsamo, the project symbolised a long-awaited new chapter: “like a new child waiting for the right moment to be born.”
Otsamo had spent years searching for the right material and manufacturing approach that could combine sculptural aesthetics with functionality and durability. The result is a statement object that merges fashion, art and material innovation.

Otsamo was inspired by the knowledge and ambition of the Brightplus team and by the possibility of approaching sustainable materials through beauty, desirability and emotional connection rather than compromise.
