Sami Eskelinen x Nordic Design Lab
Long before becoming a designer, Eskelinen was immersed in music.
Growing up as a guitarist and active musician, he was fascinated by stage personas, performance aesthetics and the transformative power of clothing.
From music to design
Although music eventually led him towards fashion rather than a professional music career, it continues to influence his creative work. Many of his closest collaborations have emerged within the music industry, and his designs are often created for artists whose performances demand garments that are both visually striking and technically reliable.
For Eskelinen, clothing is never merely decoration. It is part of storytelling, identity and performance.
The Watcher
The Watcher, a sculptural designer bag created by Finnish fashion designer Sami Eskelinen, combines a 3D printed frame, BrightBio® material and Finnish craftsmanship. The bag will make its first public appearance at Qstock Festival through a live collaboration with Finnish artist Nenerchy.
